(i)The above charges will be all inclusive.No additional charges i.e.courier charges, out of pocket expenses etc. should be levied from the customer.

(ii)In case of outstation cheques purchased and credited to customers account interest amount for the period bank remains out of fund shall be realised at the rate as per terms of sanction/clean OD rate as applicable. Besides normal collection charge as per item no.1 shall be realised.

In case of local cheques purchased, a flat rate of Rs.50/- per instrument shall be recovered.
Branches should use electronic mode like RTGS/NEFT, wherever available , to remit proceeds to the collecting brank/branch

5  Electronic Clearing Service (ECS)

  Note : No ECS charges to be levied in respect of Income Tax refund order as per the extant RBI directives. RBI charges if applicable shall also be loaded to above charges.
     
6 General Instructions :
  a) Actual postage cost/telegram charges and other out of pocket expenses are to be recovered in addition to the prescribed charges.However, charges prescribed under "Collection of outstation cheques (item 1 above) are inclusive of postal/courier charges etc.
  b) In case of cash transactions for collection of cheques/bills an additional charge  of 30% over the prescribed rate to be charged.
  c) In case of cheques and bills collected through another bank, both banks should recover 50% of their respective collection charges.

Lockers can be leased for a period upto 3 years at a time subject to advance payment of rent.

However, there would not be any concession in case advance rent is paid by customers.

The rent payable for the overdue period to the date of revision would be recovered at old rate and the revised rate will be recovered proportionately from the date of revision.

Where rent for 3 years has been recovered prior to revision, no difference amount on account of revision in rent shall be recovered for the current financial year only and the revised rate shall be applicable from the next financial year. Refund of advance rent may be allowed for the un-expired period in case the locker is surrendered before the expiry of the period of three years for which advance rent has been paid. The refund will be made in complete years i.e. fraction of a year remaining in the year of surrender shall be ignored.

 

D General Terms

Concessions / Exemptions in service charges in respect of collections, remittances and deposits :

2 Collection of instruments favouring Welfare Service, Charitable & Religious Institution may be allowed at par provided that these institutions are exempted from payment of Income Tax and also bank with us. However actual postage/transmission charges and out of pocket expenses must be recovered while collecting instruments for the above customers.
3 Collection of subsidy cheques issued by the Central and State Governments under any programme whenever applicable is to be collected at par.

Geological Survey of India, Under Ministry of Mines & Supreme Court of India under Ministry of Law & Justice, Govt. of India, are accredited to our Bank i.e. our Bank is official Banker of these two Govt. Departments. Therefore, no service charge are to be realized on the transaction of these two departments. However actual postage/ out of pocket expenses are to be recovered from them.

5 Collection of cheques at par and free remittance facilities by way of DD/MT/NEFT etc. may be allowed to blind and physically handicapped and also to institutions set up for their welfare/benefit, provided they bank with us. However postage and other out of pocket expenses should be recovered.
6 Cheques/ Drafts favoring Prime Minister’s Relief Fund/Chief Minister’s Relief Fund are to be collected at par. However actual expenses like postage etc. should be recovered.
7 No service charges in respect of the following services are to be recovered from Defence Personnel in active service, the ex-service men and from the widows of Defence Personnel, drawing pension and having account with our bank.
 
i) collection of cheque
ii) Remittance by DD/MT/TT to schools and colleges and to family members who are dependent.
iii) Any remittance other than above, only upto Rs.10,000/-
iv) Custody of bills.
v) In house standing instructions.
vi) Next kin/dependents may be allowed to collect death/terminal benefits of the deceased servicemen free of charge.

Provisions for concession in operation of LIC account with us in terms of HO Circular no. CHO/DEP/02/98-99 dated 06.04.1998 shall be discontinued with immediate effect. However, keeping in view CASA business with LICI , proposals for concession in service charges, if any, may be considered separately for each case on the merits of the proposal.

A senior citizen maintaining average balance of Rs.10,000/- in his/her SB A/c with any of our branch may remit at par funds to the debit of his/her SB A/c; to credit to his account at our any other branch in India.

10 All remittance from any of our branch on our Vidya Vihar Pilani Branch will be at par if it is in favour of a student studying at BITS Pilani who maintains his/her account with our Vidhya Vihar Pilani Branch.
11 Concessions to Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) sponsored by our Bank, provided their Deposits are duly maintained with our Bank :
(i) Collection of charges in the following cases will be shared at 50:50 between our Bank and RRBs:-
(a) Collection charges on instruments tendered by us to RRBs for collection.
(b) Collection charges on instruments tendered by RRBs to us for collection.
  (ii) Issuance of Demand Draft on account of customers of our sponsored RRBs at 50:50 commission sharing basis.
(III)
    Free Remittance facilities may be allowed on remittance of funds by our sponsored RRBs from their own account to another. However actual postage and out of pocket expenses should always be recovered from RRBs. Above concession will be allowed only when funds are remitted/transferred between their HO/Branch A/C and our Branch.
(ii) No ledger folio charges are to be levied in A/cs maintained by our sponsored RRBs with our Bank’s branches.

Free collection facility at Rural Branches :

For ex-servicemen/senior citizen pensioners, free collection of outstation pension cheques will be allowed.
13 Concessions for Staff Members (existing & retired) :

a) No Service Charge should be levied on transaction conducted by our staff members.

b) No service charge should be levied on transaction conducted by ex-staff member if he is not employed gainfully.
c) 'A' type locker at concessional rate.
d) Minimum balance maintenance criteria not applicable.

In case of new accounts with exposure of Rs.10 lacs and above Preprocessing charges equal to 10% of total applicable processing charges would be recovered upfront after clearance of the advance proposal by the New Business Committee (NBC) i.e. before taking up the proposal for detailed processing.The remaining 90% of the processing charges are to be recovered in full before the disbursement begins. GUARANTEE & LETTER OF CREDIT

A) Charges for Guarantee

Note :
a)    Charges are to be recovered upfront for the full period including the claim period unless otherwise sanctioned by the competent authority.
b)    Guarantee for the period beyond six months would attract commission, reckoning the part period of guarantee beyond 6 months in terms of completed quarters.  (For a performance guarantee issued for 16 months, guarantee commission for 1 year should be levied @ Rs.170 +2.20 p.a. and for the remaining 4 months commission should be levied @ 0.55% per quarter for 2 quarters by reckoning 4 months as two quarters.)
c)    Additional commission at applicable rate will be levied on the extended period of guarantee due to restraint imposed by court order.
2. Refund of guarantee commission No refund if the purpose for which the guarantee was issued is served and the original guarantee is returned for cancellation before the expiry date.  If the purpose for which guarantee was issued is not served, 50% of original rate for the unexpired period less 1 quarter will be refunded.  (Guarantee with an unexpired period of 10 months is tendered for cancellation, refund will be calculated for 7 months @ 50% of original commission.)
3. Renewal / Extension of Guarantee Same charges as applicable for issuance of fresh guarantee.  However, for the claim period, no charge to be levied if the renewal is effected before the expiry date of the original guarantee.
4. Guarantees secured by 100% term deposit including third party deposits of our Bank Rs.170 + 25% of normal commission. If the BG is secured by 100% CASA deposit, full comission shall be waived.

 

B) Charges for Inland Letter of Credit

1. LC Opening Charges Following charges with a min. of Rs.750/-  should be levied
a)    Usance Charge : 2.20% p.a. for the usance period (complete month or part thereof).  In case of sight bills / usance for less than 1 month, minimum one month charges and
b) Commitment Charge : For the period of liability (from the date of opening of credit to the last date of its validity) @ 1.10% p.a. with a minimum period of 1 month or part thereof.
2. Extension of validity period An extension may be allowed free of commitment charge, if such extension does not run to next month, otherwise a fresh charge of 1.10% p.a. for a minimum period of 1 month with a min. of Rs.750/-.
3. Increase in amount of credit Both usance and commitment charge on additional amount at applicable rate with a minimum charge of Rs.750/-.
4. Other amendments (other than by way of extension of validity period or increase in the value of LC) Flat commission of Rs.750/-
5. Revolving LC Same as per LC opening charges (usance + Commitment) + on each reinstatement usance charges 2.20% p.a. according to tenor and commitment charge of 1.10% p.a. on reinstated amount, Min. 750/-.
6.Advising of LCs opened by correspondent Banks Rs.735/-
7. Advising of amendments Rs.490/- per amendment
8. Confirmation of LC As applicable to LC opening charges.
9. Transfer Charge Rs.735/- per transfer.
10. Acceptance Commission On all LCs established by other banks calling for usance drafts to be drawn on and accepted by our Bank, an acceptance commission @ 2.20% p.a. with a min. of Rs.750 shall be charged.

12. Negotiation charges (in addition to interest from d/o negotiation to d/o reimbursement) For bills upto Rs.2.50 lacs – 0.44% with a min. Rs.750/-
For bills over Rs.2.50 lacs – 0.28% with a min. Rs.1500/- plus discount at applicable rate of interest from the date of negotiation to the date of reimbursement.
1.Negotiation charges and interest thereon are to be collected for the LCs established by other banks.  In such case, collection charges should not be levied.
2.In case of LCs established by our Bank branches only collection charges are to be collected and interest as per rating should be collected for the usance period.  In case of sight documents interest for a maximum period of 15 days should be collected subject to a minimum of Rs.750/-.
13. Guarantees on account of discrepancies in documents under LC 1. If payment received under reserve is credited to beneficiary’s account – 0.25% with a min. of Rs.750/-
2. If payment received under reserve at the request of the customer is not parted with – no charges.
When called upon to refund payment made to them under reserve, Banks will pay to the negotiating bank the face value of the bill together with interest at the commercial rate of the negotiating banks plus charges.  Interest / charges, if any, would be for customer/s a/c.
14. LC secured by 100% cash margin / term deposit 25% of normal charges in respect of LC opening charges subject to a minimum of Rs.750/-
15. Issuance of certificate to beneficiary No charge for attestation of commercial invoices at the time of negotiation / collection.  On subsequent occasions Rs.20.00 per invoice, minimum Rs.50.00.
16. Clean Payment received under LC. Flat Charge of Rs.200/- to Beneficiary’s account.

GUARANTEES

The following concessions may be given in case of issuance of guarantee specified below:

  1. If the amount of guarantee is more than Rs 2 crores, normal charges upto Rs. 2 crores and 50% of the normal charges for the amount exceeding Rs. 2 crores.

  2. In case of guarantees (other than issued for project exports) issued against 100% cash deposit, 25% of the normal charges.

  3. In case of guarantees (other than issued for project exports) if issued against 100% counter guarantee of Govt. of India and guarantees issued on behalf of Central/State Govt. and corporation /Institutions/companies wholly owned by them, charges may be decided on case to case basis by a committee comprising of General Manager International and General Manager Credit.

  4. In case of guarantee backed by counter guarantee of reputed International bank 25% of the normal charges.

  5. The charges shall be collected on the specified period of liability of the guarantee.  The specified period of liability shall mean the actual validity period for the guarantee plus the additional period during which claim can be made on the Bank under the guarantee.

Where the guarantee period is less than three months, commission recoverable will be 0.30% of the guaranteed amount. In case of early redemption of the guarantee, a minimum of 50% of the commission for the unexpired period i.e. from the date of redemption to the expiry date, shall be refunded.
  Commission for issuing bid bonds for supplies connected with deemed exports/direct exports, exports other than project exports shall be recovered to the extent of 25% thereof for the full period of validity of the bonds at the time of issue. If the bid materialises, the balance 75% of the commission shall be recovered. However, if the bid gets frustrated there will not be refund of that part of the commission collected.
Deferred payment guarantee covering imports of goods into India/ repayment of foreign currency loan. 0.50% per quarter or part thereof for the specified period of liability, calculated on the amount of liability under such guarantees at the beginning of every quarter

Where the guarantee period is less than two months, commission recoverable will be 0.25%.
In case of early redemption of the guarantee after a period of 2 months, 50% of the commission for the unexpired period may be refunded at the discretion of the competent authority of the Bank who has sanctioned the facility.

 

DEFERRED PAYMENT GUARANTEE
Where the entire DPG guarantee commission is collected upfront The rate of commission and the rate of exchange (TT selling) prevailing as on the date of the DPG shall be applied. No further adjustment commission arising out of future revisions in the exchange rate shall be made.
Where deferred payment guarantee commission is recovered on instalment basis. The rate of commission and the rate of exchange (TT selling) prevailing as on the date of recovery of each installment shall be applied.
In the event of early redemption of DPG 50% of the Commission for the unexpired period of guarantee may be refunded subject to the condition that the original guarantee has been returned for cancellation or a confirmation has been received to the effect that there are no claims against the guarantee.
In the event of default of instalment Interest shall be recovered at the domestic commercial rate of interest as prescribed by Reserve Bank of India from time to time from the date of default to the date of actual payment .
Where a DPG has been issued by an AD but the relative instalment payment is remitted through another AD. The latter shall compensate the A.D. which had issued the guarantee @ 0.125% commission in lieu of exchange on the amount of remittance.
